GARLA was founded in 2003 and is registered as a non-profit association with the
Hamburg Registrar of Associations as "Deutsch-Arabische Juristenvereinigung e.V.".

GARLA is a network of Arab and German lawyers, law firms, companies, organisations and law students.

The objective of GARLA is to promote a deeper knowledge and understanding of the legal systems and to enhance cooperation and faciliate business relations between Germany and the Arab countries.

Currently GARLA has registered members from
